Advertising helps fund Tutorils so readers can access practical technology guides without a subscription. This policy explains how advertising is separated from editorial work and how readers can understand commercial content on the site.

Editorial independence

Advertisers do not purchase favorable conclusions, control article ratings, or approve independent editorial copy. Topic selection and recommendations must follow the Editorial Policy. A commercial relationship does not replace research, testing, source review, or correction responsibilities.

Clear labels and placement

Display advertising is labeled as advertising and must remain visually distinguishable from navigation, article instructions, download buttons, forms, and affiliate recommendations. Tutorils does not ask readers to click ads, use arrows or misleading cues to attract ad clicks, or place ads where a normal interface action could be mistaken for an advertisement.

Advertising should not overwhelm the useful content on a page. Tutorils may place ads on substantial articles, useful category pages, and the homepage when the layout remains readable. Display ads should not appear on login, error, unsubscribe, confirmation, privacy, legal, contact, or other pages whose main purpose is not editorial content.

Advertising technology and privacy

Advertising providers may use cookies or similar technology for delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, frequency control, and personalization where permitted. The Privacy Policy explains Google advertising cookies and opt-out choices. The Cookie Policy explains storage categories and consent controls.

Where required, non-essential advertising or analytics technology should wait for an applicable consent choice. Regional messages and vendor controls depend on the advertising and consent services enabled for a visitor's location.

Affiliate links and sponsored material

Affiliate links are different from display ads. Tutorils may earn a commission after a qualifying action through a clearly disclosed affiliate link. Articles with affiliate links include a visible disclosure, and the Affiliate Disclosure explains the process. Sponsored material must be identified as sponsored and must not be presented as an independent recommendation.

Invalid traffic and reader safety

Tutorils does not purchase automated ad impressions, participate in click exchanges, reward ad clicks, or encourage staff, contributors, readers, or partners to click ads. Suspected invalid traffic, deceptive placement, malware, redirects, or a misleading advertisement should be reported through the Contact page with the page URL and a clear description.

Policy updates

This policy may be updated when advertising services, consent requirements, site layouts, or publisher rules change. The updated date reflects the current published version.
