Before submitting a notice
Confirm that you own the work or are authorized to act for the owner. Consider whether the disputed use may be permitted by license, quotation, criticism, reporting, teaching, research, or another applicable exception. If you are uncertain about your rights, consider obtaining independent legal advice.
Information to include
A copyright notice should include:
- Your full name and contact information.
- Identification of the copyrighted work.
- The exact Tutorils URL and a clear description of the disputed material.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the rights holder.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Send the request through the Contact page and choose a clear copyright-related subject. Do not include private information that is not necessary to review the claim.
Review and response
We may request additional information, restrict access to material while a claim is reviewed, contact the affected contributor, or reject incomplete or abusive notices. Where appropriate, we may provide information about a counter-notice process. Repeated infringement may result in contributor access being restricted.
